ChRAWnology finally reaches the best episode of Raw up to this point and one of the best remembered show's of all time with a Shawn Michaels open-challenge for the IC title, the LONG awaited debut of the Smoking Gunns (and disappointing end to their epic vignettes,) and Razor Ramon battling some kid who can't possibly stand a chance of getting a 1-2-3! It's one of Neil's favorite wrestling TV shows of all time!
A lumberjack match featuring wrestlers in lumberjack shirts reveals one of Vince McMahon's lesser-known fetishes, Typhoon competes for a shot at the King of the Ring tournament a week after a typhoon threatened to end our podcast, an awesome Attitude Era-esque opening segment with Shawn Michaels and Mr. Perfect, plus an EPIC PARADE OF JOBBERS all on this week's ChRAWnology!
It's the long awaited show where Raw starts to get better! Hacksaw Duggan and Shawn Michaels start a mini-feud over the Intercontinental Championship, some new indy kid from Minnesota debuts and tries to get the 1-2-3, all while a hurricane threatens to cut power and end the podcast at any moment (or perhaps blow Neil's house away!)
Neil enters a bizarre timewarp where two fans get engaged at ringside but not the two that he remembers getting engaged. We try to explain better. But seriously. There was a timewarp, right? Also, and possibly even more bizarrely, heel Lex Luger vs. babyface Crush.
ChRAWnology is back! Neil and Dave talk about the fallout from Wrestlemania 9...but not too much, because this bizarre show was filmed before Mania even happened. There's Rob Bartlett trapped in Vegas, a Steiner Bros/Beverly Bros match for no reason, and a whole lot of Jerry Lawler! We're back baby! And we're here til we drop dead!
It's a special BONUS show as Neil and Dave review Wrestlemania 9 in its entirety. It's Neil's 100th viewing and Dave's 1st EVER. The guys talk Bobby Heenan, Doink, Lex Luger, chloroform soaked rags, and yes THAT finish to the show. We're going to take a brief hiatus but be back in a couple weeks to jump right back into 1993!
It's the GO HOME SHOW for Wrestlemania 9...and boy are we ready to be done with this Mania 9 build. Featured matches include the likes of Doink, Kamala, Repo Man, and Damien Demento plus we find out what, if anything, Dave has learned about Wrestlemania 9 in these first 10 shows.
